Jammies (Blue)

My story

Jammies recently enjoyed a Dog Day Out and instantly won everyone over with her sweet and gentle nature. This perfect medium-sized girl loves to sniff around and mind her own business on leash, but if you sit on a bench and invite her up, she’ll happily hop into your lap for pets and affection.During a walk to and from Fort McHenry, Jammies was calm and curious—unfazed by passing dogs, people, or loud city sounds. She walked well on leash, stopped politely at crosswalks, and showed off her smarts. While she does pull a bit at first in her eagerness, she seems very trainable and eager to please. Although not highly motivated by treats or toys, she gently accepted a treat and thoroughly enjoyed a pup cup along the way.At rest stops and lunch, Jammies welcomed all the petting she could get and quickly settled down to nap at her humans’ feet instead of on her blanket—because being near her people is what she loves most.Jammies is a true sweetheart: affectionate, gentle, and attentive. She gets excited when given attention (hello, face kisses!) but settles quickly and loves to snuggle. Whether out exploring or curled up at home, she’s ready to be a loyal and loving companion.Jammies has met other dogs at the shelter, she is a gentle girl who prefers polite friends. She interacted well with small dogs.Jammies is currently in the comfort of a foster home.
