My story

I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereAt just 1 year old and 37 pounds, Carmine is the perfect mix of playful pup and gentle soul. He may be shy at first, but once he feels safe, you’ll quickly discover the sweetest, most loving companion. He is always ready for snuggles, playtime, or showing off his new tricks (he’s already mastered sit and paw in just a few days!). Carmine is crate-trained, potty trained, sleeps through the night, and is content hanging out solo for a few hours—calm, cool, and collected when it matters most. He’s come a long way on his journey and is still building his confidence, so he’ll thrive in a patient, loving home with positive reinforcement and a resident canine sibling to help show him the ropes. Carmine is looking for an experienced adopter familiar with shy/fearful pups. Treats (his love language!) and gentle encouragement go a long way. On walks, Carmine can be a little too excited, but with guidance and patience, he’s eager to keep learning and growing. Carmine is ready to find his person—someone who sees his potential and can give him the safe, supportive home he deserves.
