My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Harley: The 6-Pound Prince of (Mostly) Peace Looking for a roommate who judges your snack choices, steals your blanket, and follows you like you're a celebrity? Meet Harley, a Chihuahua with the soul of a wise old man and the dramatic flair of a soap opera star. Harley’s life took a sad turn when his humans couldn’t stay with him—one passed away, and the other had to move somewhere dogs aren’t allowed (rude). He didn’t take it well. In fact, he shut down in the shelter like someone canceled his Netflix subscription mid-season. Luckily, he found his way to a foster mom who speaks fluent Chi. With a little patience and a lot of snuggles, Harley started showing his true colors: goofy, clingy, and full of personality.   The Harley Rundown:   Loves other small dogs. Like, really loves them. Cats? Unknown. But he’s open to negotiations. Best with older kids who respect his old-man energy. Working on potty training—he’s putting in the effort! &#239&#184&#143 Getting neutered soon and having his cherry eye fixed. Once that’s done, we hope he retires from neighborhood announcements about his manliness. Warning: Harley’s bark is louder than the monthly tornado siren. Shared walls (apartments/condos) are not ideal unless your neighbors are either saints or completely deaf. Despite his diva moments and a few emotional quirks, Harley just wants what we all want—love, snacks, a quiet place to nap, and someone to call his own. Once he trusts you, he’s ride-or-die for life.   If you’ve got patience, humor, and a soft blanket (or five), Harley might just be your tiny, dramatic soulmate. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination.
