Maggie and her sister were found abandoned in very poor condition in a rural area when they were believed to be around 8–9 weeks old. Thankfully, they were rescued and have been thriving ever since. Maggie’s sister has been adopted—now it’s Maggie’s turn to find her forever home. Maggie is up to date on her vaccines, including three rounds of parvo/distemper and her rabies vaccination. She is also microchipped. Her spay appointment is scheduled for when she reaches the appropriate age (around 6 months), and her adopter must agree to bring her to that appointment. We are looking for a Great Pyrenees-experienced home—one that understands and loves the breed. Maggie is sweet, gentle, a little shy with new people at first, but affectionate once she warms up. She has a fun and playful personality, especially in the mornings when she enjoys running around with her toys and playing with her tiny Chihuahua friend, Tippi. That said, due to her size and strength, she would do best with a larger, well-mannered dog companion who can match her energy and play style. She’s fully potty trained, enjoys spending time outdoors, and is equally happy relaxing indoors with her people. She sleeps comfortably either inside or outside on the porch with her German Shepherd buddy. Maggie has already learned to sit on command and is doing well with basic training, though like many Pyrenees, she can be a bit independent. She has been exposed to chickens, ducks, and horses in the pasture and is showing promising instincts as a future livestock guardian with continued training. Indoors, she gets along well with the house cat and generally ignores her. While she may try to chase barn cats outdoors, it’s more out of playful curiosity than aggression—something she picked up from watching the smaller dogs in the home. As is typical for the breed, Maggie may be cautious with strangers at first but once given time and space to approach at her own pace, she becomes affectionate and trusting. She absolutely loves being brushed and enjoys that quiet bonding time every day. Requirements for adoption: • Must have a large, securely fenced yard—or ideally, acreage • Breed experience strongly preferred • Homeowners only; no renters • Must agree to follow through with scheduled spay appointment If you’re interested in providing Maggie with a loving, permanent home and believe you’d be a great fit, please reach out by text or email and tell me a little about your home and your experience with dogs, especially Great Pyrenees. Videos can be sent upon request. Thank you for considering sweet Maggie Mae! Warmly, Debbie 209-607-7464 deb0625@yahoo.com PRE-SCREENING, APPLICATION, VET REFERENCES & FENCED YARD REQUIRED. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! YOU WILL GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR NEW FURRY FAMILY MEMBER BY GIVING THEM LOVE AND TRAINING
