My story
Hi, I’m Desota—a 9-year-old Lab mix who’s seen the worst of humans but somehow still believes in the best. I was found abandoned without food or water, my collar nearly embedded from being left so long, but I never let it harden my heart. I’m 51 pounds of gentle loyalty, easygoing charm, and grateful tail wags. I walk well on a leash, love kind people, and I’m just looking for a quiet home to finally exhale in. I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to trade the shelter floor for a soft bed and a human who’ll never leave me behind. If you’ve got a little extra love and a soft spot for seniors—I’ve got a lifetime of it to give back.
