My story
Sweet Darla was plucked from the brink — rescued off the euthanasia list in San Antonio and now on her journey to a brighter future. She's just a pup at 7 months old and arrived severely underweight, but she's already showing us what resilience looks like. Though understandably cautious after all she's been through, Darla seeks comfort and connection — especially when alongside her littermate. Her quiet bravery and tentative curiosity shine through, giving us hope she'll blossom with love and stability. Darla is currently in boarding and will be fully assessed once she arrives at our rescue in Elgin, IL.
