My story

IDGSR Welcomes DJ into the safety of the rescue!! THIS DOG IS FOSTERED IN TENNESSEE & AVAILABLE FOR TRANSPORT ************** Howdy! My name is DJ and I'm a super handsome 1yr old male Shepherd mix. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport. Quick Facts: Age - 1yr old Kids - will do fine with kids over 8+ Dogs - good with other large breed dogs, ideally a female Cats - NO cats Training - needs standard obedience training 1. I was surrendered to a scary shelter due to no fault of my own. I spent over a week there until the best rescue broke me out & brought me to a great foster home! 2. I am a very sweet boy despite being dumped by previous owners. I am loyal to a fault and love being close to my person. 3. I get along well with other dogs, especially those who are more chill. I'm not so sure about the hyper pups. 4. I already know some commands but it would be beneficial to teach me standard obedience. Training will help us bond and show how smart I am! 5. Do you like taking walks, snuggling on the couch, testing new recipes in the kitchen, or watching the sunset on a patio after a long day of work? Those are some of my favorite things too! If you are not 100% ready to adopt, please wait** ************** ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** -ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted -We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply -All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered -Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter -An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog -Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY -Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications -All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time -Not able to adopt?
