My story

Meet Larry! Larry is a 2-year-old (almost 3), 8lb mini poodle weighing 8 lbs. Larry’s life may have not started out so great but he’s looking forward to learning to be dog. Larry is still learning that the world can be a kind and safe place. He’s very cautious at first - but behind those careful steps is a curious heart and gentle soul that's just needs to be shown some love for his personality to shine through. Larry would truly blossom in a calm home with a confident dog buddy to help guide him and show him how good life can be. A securely fenced yard is a must so he can explore safely at his own pace. With patience and love, Larry will grow into the loyal and loving companion he’s meant to be. Larry will need someone who is very patient and loving to show him love and understanding while he adjust. Larry is very shy in new situations and is easily startled by loud noises and fast movements. Larry is currently fostered in the Cincinnati area, sharing his foster home with other small dogs. He will need assistance with house training. Larry’s adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
