My story

Hello, friends, I am CJ! For my first 5 years I didn't have a nice life - my "family" neglected and abused me and often didn't feed me. I never went to a vet, let alone ever had a toy or a bed – many days I didn’t know if I would eat again. I was rescued by a really nice man in mid-July and I spent 10 days at an animal hospital in Princeton WV. I got neutered, got all my vaccinations, and started treatment for a couple of skin infections (I am healing beautifully!). I still look a little threadbare and a bit scuffed and bruised, but my doctor says I will make a complete recovery and be a beautiful dog again soon. Though I am still healing on the outside, my heart is still golden. I am a good dog, I am house trained and affectionate, I am learning to play with toys (I love tennis balls) and resting in a real bed. I warm up quickly to folks and I love other dogs; I am smart and want to learn EVERYTHING! I will follow you everywhere and love you forever. People call me Crackerjack, or CJ, or sometimes just “Siege”. I can shed my old name if you like, just like I am shedding my past and running to a happy, healthy future. CJ is neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. The adoption fee for this dog is $425 which includes routine vetting and spay/neuter.
