Name: Brooke         Best Guess for Breed: Shepherd and plott hound mix  Best Guess for Age:  6 months as of August 2025        SEX:   Female   Approximate Weight:  29 lbs as of 8/5/25; she is still growing!   Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven't seen her with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to get up here.  Brooke is Looking For:   Her forever family! This pretty girl is at the tail end of puppyhood and and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world. She's looking forward to having her own humans to show her all of the exciting things the world has to offer. Trips to parks, playdates with friends, and new adventures are on her to-do list! She'd love to go to dog school too, so she can show how smart she is.    Most of all, though, she wants to know she's safe and loved. In exchange, she promises all the adoring gazes and happy tail wags she's storing up, and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say?
