My story

Look no further than Mighty Marty – a delightful 4-month-old Terrier mix weighing in at a compact but mighty 10 pounds! Don’t let his small size fool you—Marty plays like he’s 110 pounds, bursting with bouncy enthusiasm and a contagious zest for life. He’s a social butterfly through and through, absolutely adoring people and dogs of all sizes. Marty is currently thriving in a lively salon environment with his foster mom, her two young male dogs, and even an older alpha female—proving just how adaptable and friendly he truly is. Whether it’s riding in the car, romping at the dog park, or soaking up attention at work, Marty is happiest when he’s in the middle of the action. He sticks close to his foster mom and pack, but also loves safe opportunities to explore and gallop to his heart’s content. Marty would thrive in a home with: A confident dog-savvy owner (he’s still learning not to get underfoot!) A playful canine companion to wrestle and snuggle with A family that can provide structure, playtime, and lots of affection This clever pup is making fantastic progress with potty training, and he’s already crate-trained—sleeping soundly at night and during short breaks in the day. He’ll even politely let you know if he needs a late-night potty break before going right back to sleep like a pro. Marty is also learning to share, becoming less protective of his toys and treats as he settles into a routine. He loves chew toys, training treats, and snuggling up next to his foster mom—especially for some downtime after a good play session. Mighty Marty is the perfect mix of playful and sweet, confident and cuddly. If you’re ready for a life filled with tail wags, silly zoomies, and unconditional love, Marty is ready to meet you! Just let us know you're interested in this dog. We do our best to match families and dogs so everyone is pleased and the placement is permanent. We reserve the right to refuse an applicant if the home situation is incompatible with the needs of the rescue dog. Rescue is about doing our best for the dog. We do home and reference checks. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and are up to date with current vaccinations before being placed in their forever homes.
