My story

Sloppy Joe is a sweet, long-haired black and white gentleman, approximately two years old, with a heart as soft as his fluffy coat. This brave boy was sadly abandoned outside when his humans moved out of their Ferndale apartment—but he knew just where to go. Joe found his way to the doorstep of a nearby Ferndale Cat Shelter volunteer, asking for help the only way he knew how. Now safe and sound in a loving foster home, Sloppy Joe is taking time to decompress from his scary outdoor adventure. He’s a gentle soul who is learning to trust that this new chapter is full of love and safety.  Sloppy Joe would thrive in a quiet home without dogs. He may enjoy the company of another calm cat or two, but mostly he’s just looking for a soft place to land—and someone who won’t leave him behind again.  Joe’s adoption fee is $175.
