Ellie is a sweet 4-year-old spayed female Golden Retriever weighing 56 pounds. This lovely girl has overcome a significant hurdle in her life, having been Heartworm positive upon intake and completing her treatment in Tennessee. Ellie finds herself looking for a new forever home after being rehomed through no fault of her own. Despite her past, she has a heart of gold and is eager to find a family who will love and cherish her. With a gentle soul and loving nature, she deserves a family who will provide her with the love, care, and attention she craves. With her Golden Retriever charm, she's sure to capture hearts and bring joy to her future family. She's great with people and gets along well with other dogs. She's also fantastic with kids, she's a natural people person! She has not been cat tested, so we're unsure how she'd do in a home with cats. Ellie is medically up-to-date, crate trained, and house broken! If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring love and joy into your life, Ellie might just be the perfect fit for you. NOTE: Ellie will not be available for adoption until 8/23 at the earliest. We are accepting applications for this sweet girl now, but will be waiting until closer to when she is available to process applications/choose her furever home. We appreciate your patience - she is worth the wait! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2483309##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ellie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
