Venus

My story

Venus is a one year old Newfoundland mix that is next up to find her forever home. Venus was most likely dumped at a local nature park, that is common for animals to be abandoned. She was thin, matted, and wasn`t too sure of her new surroundings. We`ve been working with Venus to show her the ropes of being a beloved canine and she is enjoying every moment of it. We were able to cut out most of her mats, scrub her down real well and remove the dirt and burrs, and she loves treats! She`ll happily sit, give paw, and even lay down and roll to her back for them! She`s a smart girl that loves to soak in all the attention. Venus has met dogs while in our care but is quite nervous/anxious. At this time, we are looking for a home without other pets so she can properly decompress and settle in. Venus is a big snugglebug and cannot wait to be in her forever home. Venus was recently adopted and returned due to having high anxiety in her new home. Venus will need adequate time to adjust to her new surroundings and someone that can work with her as she transitions. Apartments are a no for her as she can be vocal. Her adoption fee is $75, which includes her vaccines, fecal exam, deworming, current heartworm/flea prevention, heartworm test, and registered microchip. She is already fixed!
