My story

Gorgeous, Gentle, Belly-Rub Queen Sugarbear is aptly named! She has a soft and gentle presence and is super affectionate, once she knows you. She’s actually kind of flirty in how she will brush up against something near you, all the while gazing at you with her gorgeous green eyes! She likes to hang out in the same room with you and when you pet her, she will give sweet head butts. She works up to being trusting and bold enough to approach you, and when she does, she will demand belly rubs! She will straddle your arm to make sure you get complete access to her fluffy tummy, and will make biscuits and give you loving, slow blinks. She is quite interested in the feather wand toy but hasn’t chased it yet; she will track every move it makes as it “flies” around and “crawls” across the floor. Soon she will pounce on that toy, you can tell - she won’t be able to stop herself! She’s almost there… We haven’t seen Sugarbear with another cat, so we don’t know if she might like a nice cat friend. She is fine with the young human teenager in her foster home, though hasn’t completely warmed up to him yet. She probably would do best in a home with adults, young adults, and older kids who are gentle with her. Her ideal home seems to need to be calm and low-traffic, with someone who is patient with her, and who is around more often than not. She likes cozy hiding spots and a covered litter box. She is on the list to have some dental work done. Sugarbear is a stunning, fluffy, multi-colored tabby with loooooong ear tufts and a crazy-bushy tail! She’s beautiful.
