My story

"Hi, I'm Eben! Yes, I know I’m handsome. The overbite? Natural. The tongue that forgets to stay in my mouth? Also natural. The short legs? I don't really know where those came from, but we're rollin' with it! I may look like someone shrunk a normal dog in the wash, but don’t let the stumpy stature fool you — I’m all dog, baby. I bark at birds, chase squeaky toys like they owe me money, and will loyally follow you to the ends of the couch… as long as there are snacks involved. I’ve got what they call "big dog energy in a small dog frame." My tongue sometimes hangs out when I’m excited, which is often. I might look a little… unique, but that’s just more for you to love. I’m looking for a human (or humans) who enjoy long waddles on in the park, afternoon naps, and laughing at the weird little noises I make when I’m dreaming or when my teethers show. If you’re into low-maintenance high-comedy dogs with excellent snuggle skills, I’m your guy. Catch me at Appalachian Highlands Humane Society.
