My story

Meet Maria — a sweet, young orange tabby still waiting for someone to choose her. Maria was abandoned while pregnant, along with her three pregnant sisters, on The Kitty Trail in Piqua, Ohio. They were dumped without warning, left to survive alone in the elements — scared, hungry, and heartbroken. Maria is just 9 to 10 months old, a kitten herself, and somehow still full of gentle affection. When volunteers come to feed the colony twice a day, Maria is always there — rubbing up against their legs, purring, asking for love. She craves human connection. She doesn’t want to be out here. She’s not feral. She’s not wild. She was once someone’s pet — and she still believes someone might want her again. Maria has not yet been rescued because there’s nowhere for her to go — not until a home steps up for her. But she is ready. She will be fully vetted before adoption, and she’s so deserving of a soft place to land. Please — if you have space in your home and heart, Maria is waiting. Let’s get her off the dirt trail and into the life she’s dreaming of.
