Camo

My story

Camo's adoption fee will be reduced to $100 if he is adopted in August, thanks to our Clear the Shelters promotion. Camo is a 7-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog. He was surrendered because his owner could no longer care for him. He is friendly and sweet with all the volunteers. He enjoys going on long walks and is fully house-trained, but will need some work on his leash manners. Camo was surrendered with another Catahoula, Brie, who has already been adopted. They got along well, but Camo has been a bit reactive with other dogs he sees on walks, so he should probably be the only dog in his next home. We have no history on how he is with children so we will not place him in a home with children under 12 years old. Camo is neutered and had all his vet care. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both. All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
