My story

Meet Lewis – Help Us Give Him the Care He Needs! This little guy is Lewis, a 12-year-old, 6-pound Chihuahua we rescued from the Dallas shelter. He’s already shown us what a sweetheart he is—alert, loving, and happiest when curled up on a soft pillow or being held close. He climbs the stairs and follows foster mom to bed. He appears to be housebroken But like many seniors, Lewis needs some extra TLC before he can start his next chapter. He needs a major dental, and the vet expects he’ll only keep about two teeth when it’s all done. We’ve also scheduled senior bloodwork to make sure he’s in good shape. Estimated cost: $600 This will cover his dental and senior blood work so we can prepare him for a forever home. That’s him with Dr. Yu this morning getting his first check up. His dental will be scheduled for in about two weeks. That gives us time to raise the money for his surgery.
