My story

OH MY GOSH....this adorable boy with the spotted nose is Auggie and he is a 1-2 yr old, Albino Shih Tzu that is about 17lbs. Auggie was an owner surrender that told us he did not have the time to dedicated to him and wanted to find him a better home. We got this sweet boy vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and then into a wonderful foster home. Auggie definitely needs another young and playful dog in the home. He can't be an "only" dog. We are also looking for a home that has owners that are not gone long hours during the day and he also needs a home with a safe and secure yard. You can always find Auggie outside in the backyard on some outdoor furniture just hanging out. Right now, he is in a foster home by the beach and because he is albino, we can only place him in a cooler climate city. Auggie still likes to play bite on your hands so a home without young children would be best! This sweet boy is pretty independent and doesn't need to be by your side 24/7. Auggie is quite the catch and we know you will feel the same way once you meet him! Auggie is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Please contact us at; gina@theforgottendog.org or 310-990-2020 We only adopt in the Greater LA areas as we require an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period. In Auggies case, we are looking for a home on the westside or south bay.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Auggie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
