My story

MEET LUNA!*Super sweet biscuit maker!*Okay being picked up and held!Luna is a robust dark haired beauty with enormous eyes. Her world turned upside down recently when her owner passed away, leaving sweet Luna all alone. We`ve found her to be a delightful affectionate lady who won over the vet staff by allowing them to cuddle and carry her like a human baby! Luna will need a little extra TLC (see below) but she`s totally worth it.While here at ARL, Luna was diagnosed with early renal disease. Renal disease is a common condition in middle aged to older cats and although not curable, with proper management, most cases progress very slowly. Treating kidney disease in cats primarily focuses on managing symptoms, slowing disease progression, and improving quality of life. This often involves a combination of dietary changes, fluid therapy, and medication, with regular monitoring by a veterinarian. Luna is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team.For more information on Luna or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.
