My story

Just like the bird he’s named after, Goose is fast, feathery (okay, furry), and full of flappy chaos. This 2-year-old small Lab mix doesn’t walk—he zooms. He zips through the yard like he’s late for a very important snack, ears flying like tiny furry parachutes and tail wagging like a windsock in a hurricane.He’s loyal like a wingman, mischievous like a cartoon, and charming like he’s trying to sell you a used car and win your heart. He thrives on attention, thinks fetch is a full-contact sport, and has a PhD in Making You Laugh When You’re Trying to Be Serious.But Goose isn’t just all goof and zoom—he’s smart, too. He knows tons of tricks, including “leave it,” “stay,” “crawl,” and more. He’s the kind of dog who loves to work for treats, praise, or just the joy of showing off.Goose is currently in training for resource guarding and is making progress—but he’ll need a dedicated, dog-savvy home that can help him continue to learn and thrive. Because of this, he’s looking for a home without kids or cats, and with people who understand that building trust takes time (and snacks).And just like a real mother goose, he can be a little protective of his people—he’s got a strong sense of loyalty and isn’t afraid to flap his proverbial wings if someone steps into his pond uninvited.If you want a pup who lives life in fast-forward, gives hugs like he means it, and honks (okay, barks) his way into your heart with tail-wagging conviction—Goose is ready for takeoff.
