Stark in the care center has began to display arousal concerns while with staff in the care center. Stark has began to become over aroused while seeing dogs, becoming reactive, mounting staff , and has jumped up to mouth a staff member leaving two scrape marks and raised skin that did not break skin. Stark is social with staff, but having trouble settling in the care center. Medically, Stark is apparently healthy.What my friends at ACC say about me:My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some canine body language together!I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.A volunteer writes: Stark is a big boy, a loose marshmallow of a man, with a few big cow spots. Stark is a sweetie pie, who's personality really shines. We met him on a brutally hot day, but he indulges our cuddles just the same. Stark was found as a stray in the Bronx with just a collar. A good Samaritan found him and took him into the shelter for safety. Stark had been social and friendly with her and the staff members he greeted in the shelter. Stark has the honor of being a greeter dog at the shelter, so friendly he is used to test the other dogs with their sociability.
