Meet Uma – Your Loyal Walking Buddy! 🐾 Uma is a sweet and gentle soul with a heart full of love and a tail that’s always wagging. At 8 years old, she’s past the puppy stage but still has plenty of pep in her step—especially when it’s time for a walk! Staff say she’s always happy to head out, confidently leading the way, and is easy to handle on leash. Recently surrendered due to her owner’s housing situation, Uma has known love and stability and is ready to find it again. She’s housebroken, knows how to sit on command, and loves to shower her people with kisses. She also has a playful side—tennis balls are her absolute favorite! Her previous owner shared that she’s lived with other dogs, though here at the shelter she’s shown little interest in canine companions. She may prefer human company or just need slow introductions—either way, she’s an independent girl who knows what she likes. Oh, and she’s a bit of a backyard digger—so a secure yard or some supervision is a must if she’s off leash! If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate, and well-mannered companion to join you on daily walks and chill evenings, Uma might just be your perfect match.
