My story

Salt and Pepper are two bonded kitties who are required to stay together in their next home. Salt and Pepper were indoor only in their previous home and lived with young children and did well. Transitioning to the shelter life after a loving home for two years means they are still warming up to all the new sights and smells we have around here, and would likely require a period of transition in their new home, too. Salt and Pepper are litterbox trained. Their previous owner described them as bonded, meaning they do EVERYTHING together, sleep together, eat together, and cuddle together, too.Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
