INTRO This little girl is small but mighty! She does not let her size slow her down or stop her from getting rough with the boys. She zooms all around the room so fast that we can barely track her with our own eyes. Her fluffy coat is just precious, but its her personality that really stands out. HISTORY Sissy comes from an accidental litter of 4, she is the only female of the bunch. They were surrendered to us around 6 weeks of age, and she has been fostered with her littermates. Her DOB is 06/08/2025. Sissy is located in West Richland, in Eastern Washington. We share information about our dogs in postings based in other cities to improve their chances of finding a great forever home. She is well worth a road trip, and we encourage you to come and meet her before you decide she should join your family! But, if necessary, HART will transport a puppy to an approved adopter in the Pacific Northwest. SOCIALIZATION, TEMPERAMENT AND TRAINING Sissy currently shares her home with large and small dogs. She is very friendly with everyone she meets, and loves to play. She is very child friendly, and tries to shrink herself as small as she can and be oh so gentle with little ones. Though she is extremely friendly, she is still a puppy with sharp teeth, nails, and desire to chew on everything she can. Sissy is young enough to learn to live well with another friendly, tolerant older dog, a confident, dog-savvy cat, and whatever other pets may already be part of your family. Sissy loves to play with other dogs and/ or toys all the same. When she isn’t trying to figure out toys, she loves to snuggle up and be in your lap. She has endless kisses to offer in exchange for a belly rub, but she will give them for free too! Her zooming all around the room is precious & hilarious all at once! Sissy is just a baby, she is young and eager to learn how to be a good family dog. She'd love you to take her to school so she can learn ALL the skills she needs to be her best self. This would be beneficial for you as her pet parent(s) as well so that you can learn to communicate effectively with her, and teach her to be confident. She is still working on potty training. It's important to remember: Sissy is a puppy, and PUPPIES ARE HARD WORK! This little girl is just getting started - she has sharp nails and needle teeth, and loves to pounce on shoes and grab hold and tug on anything that moves! As far as she’s concerned, anything and everything is for play. She still has everything to learn about being a civilized member of a mainly-human family. She will trip you up, piddle on your rug, and chew your stuff. Please don't apply to adopt Sissy unless you're sure you have the time, energy and desire to raise her right! HEALTH STATUS General info She is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and dewormed. She appears to be in good health. Once full grown, she will likely be somewhere in the 8-10 lbs range. HART does not support pediatric spay/neuter, so Sissy has not been sterilized. You will be required in terms of the adoption contract to have your pup sterilized by the time they are 6 months old. At your request, HART will refund you $100 upon receiving proof of sterilization. ADOPTION The adoption fee for Sissy is $425. For more pictures of Sissy, see her Facebook album at https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?vanity=HearthfireAnimalRescueTeam&set=a.1058473579767064 To apply to adopt Sissy, please complete our online adoption application at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAWA/Dog, or email HearthfireART@gmail.com and request an adoption application form. HART dogs live in foster homes, not in a kennel facility. To respect our fosters' privacy, we make our dogs available to meet adopters only after an adoption has been approved.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt SIssy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
