My story

Bear – ID 12411 – Kennel 57 Arrived as a stray on August 1 German Shepherd mix – Tri-color – Male – 6 year old – 85 lbs Will be neutered prior to adoption – Up to date on vaccines – Heartworm negative Poor Bear looks like he’s had a rough start in life, but he’s holding onto hope for a brighter future. This handsome boy has the loyal heart and soulful eyes of a shepherd, paired with a gentle, steady personality. At just 6 years old, he’s still young enough to enjoy playtime, but calm enough to sit nicely for attention. He walks politely on leash and seems to truly enjoy the company of people. Bear has some skin issues right now, and we believe a good diet, regular grooming, and TLC may be all he needs—but this will need to be confirmed by a veterinarian. He’s a big, strong boy with an even bigger heart—ready for someone who will give him the love and security he’s been missing. If you’ve been looking for a faithful companion to share life’s adventures, Bear is ready to walk by your side into his happily ever after. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
