My story

Est DOB: 1/26/23 Size : 13lbs Louie  V is a 2 year old shih tzu looking for a patient, understanding adopter—someone who can offer him the time, trust, and guidance he needs.    He can be strong willed at times, so a home without small children would be best. While he may be unsure around new people at first, he does wonderfully with other dogs of all ages and breeds. Once  Louie  V is comfortable, his personality shines. He becomes a loyal shadow, a soft snuggle bug who melts into your side.    Louie  V will benefit from continued basic training and positive reinforcement, but his willingness to bond makes the journey incredibly rewarding. As we are a foster based rescue, we require a completed application to be submitted before we arrange a meet.  This can be found on our website at :   Apply Now (almosthomepetrescue.org) $200 (including tax) adoption fee includes core vaccinations, rabies vaccination, heart worm test (in dogs over 6 months of age), microchip and registration, spay/neuter, wormer and flea and heart worm prevention while the dog is in our care. All breed and size categorizations are estimates. If transporting out of state, the total adoption cost will be $500.
