My story

Abbey is a Collie/Hound mix that weighs 60 pounds and is estimated to be 2-3 years old. She is a gentle, sweet-natured girl who’s looking for a calm and loving place to call home. Found as a stray, Abbey is still adjusting to the shelter environment and can be a bit timid at first — but underneath that shyness is a truly affectionate and loyal companion just waiting to blossom.She walks nicely on a leash, keeps her kennel clean, and enjoys any kind, loving attention she receives. Abbey has a medium energy level and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can feel safe, build trust, and come out of her shell at her own pace.With patience and love, Abbey is sure to become a devoted and wonderful addition to the right home.Compatibility with dogs, cats and children is currently unknown.Abbey is available through our Foster-to-Adopt Program, which allows approved adopters to foster her in their home while she completes her veterinary care.
