My story

Judy is a sweet and friendly dog who loves to play! In her short stay she'd made lots of friends both two and four legged and is hoping to find a forever home soon Behavioral notes Judy meets Tex https://youtu.be/Yer45bsTj8M?si=G1XqeofYGZpI-Tka Judy meets a friend and plays https://youtu.be/Fte3qWBQwL4?si=baxza0Nr-W0fhjVf Video https://youtube.com/shorts/GRd7uBeWGjo?si=C4azfsnjttcD4lZ9 Per day trip volunteer 8/12: Judy Moody is a spunky girl. She loves to run around, play in water (had a very strong interest in moving water - loved try to chomp at the water coming from the sprinkler and enjoyed putting her face into the baby pool), and chew some bones! She seems to really love food (who doesn’t) and already knows sit! She did seem to be hesitant around new people, especially men. She would come close than run away and do it over and over again and cower then would start barking (like an unsure bark rather than mean). Per staff 8/11/2025: Kennel Presentation: Standing in crate, loose body, jumped on door. Easy to leash Leash Skills: Pulls moderately. Loose and wiggly. Middle tail, soft eyes Orients to handler and jumps for attention Sociability: Seeks social contact, highly social with the handler. Responded to sit cue and offered sit for a treat. Takes it gently. Touched her all over her body and easily looked at her teeth. Loose and wiggly, Play: Very playful! Tail middle and loose, hops, ears to the side and floppy. Grabby for toy from hand, will trade for another toy or a treat. Dog Interaction: None Return to Kennel: Easy Color Level: Experienced gold Recommendations and considerations: With a little more basic training and daily exercise she will be her best self! Easy to train as both food and toy motivated ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details. If you are a rescue interested in pulling this animal, please email our lifesaving team, or visit here if you are not currently a rescue partner: https://acctphilly.org/acct-philly-love-local-partnership-program/ Confirmed placement is considered a confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent. All animals at ACCT Philly are from Philadelphia, as the only open-intake animal shelter in Philadelphia, we are not able to accept animals from outside of Philadelphia. ACCT Philly's Pennsylvania kennel license number is 08313

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Judy Moody, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
