My story

Cooper is an approximately 6-month-old border collie/cattle dog mix—possibly with a bit of hound in the mix—who has all the charm and sweetness you could ask for in a young dog. He first appeared in a Good Samaritan’s front yard and chose to stick around, patiently waiting for someone to notice him. After six weeks with no one coming forward to claim him, he was brought to us, and we quickly discovered what a special pup he is. Cooper has a very mild, easygoing temperament for his age. He’s gentle, affectionate, and absolutely adores people. He’s especially good with kids, soaking up attention and affection without ever being overwhelming. Cooper still has plenty of playful, puppy energy but carries it in a well-mannered, happy-go-lucky way. He enjoys going out in play groups and gets along well with other dogs, showing friendly and respectful social skills. He’s also curious and alert, and while he’s still learning the basics, he’s eager to please and very responsive to positive guidance. Cooper would thrive in a home where he’ll be included in family activities, given time to play and explore, and supported as he continues to grow into the smart, loyal companion he’s clearly meant to be.
