My story

Meet Tootsie!Tootsie is a gentle little sweetheart who melts for cuddles and quiet affection. When she met our staff, she wiggled her way over, rested her head in their laps, and leaned in for soft pets. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she feels safe, her loving personality shines through. Tootsie would do best in a home with older children who can give her the space and patience she needs to feel comfortable.She’s shown friendly behavior around other dogs in close proximity, and with a slow, gentle introduction, she may enjoy a canine friend.Tootsie was surrendered to THS ill with parvovirus, a very serious and sometimes fatal illness for puppies and unvaccinated dogs. She was hospitalized, but has since been treated. She has tested negative for parvo, but should be quarantined at home and avoid other puppies or un-vaccinated adult dogs for 2 weeks after adoption as a precaution.
