My story

Yuri is a big, brindle bundle of joy with energy to spare! This goofy, lovable pit mix is always up for an adventure and would thrive in an active home that can match his zest for life. Yuri loves chasing after balls, going for walks, and showing off his polite leash manners. He’s also a smart cookie who knows basic commands like sit, come, stay, and no. Yuri has lived with dogs before, so if you already have a canine companion, we’ll require a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone gets along. He’s good with kids, but keep in mind—he’s a bouncy boy who sometimes forgets his size in all the excitement of playtime. Yuri will also need to continue his house training as he settles into his new home. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful partner who will keep you moving and laughing, Yuri is ready to be your new best friend. Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
