My story

Meet Kali! This sweet black Pug mix just joined us from a local shelter after being found as a stray in a small town. Despite waiting nearly two weeks, no one came forward for her. Kali is about 3 years old, weighs 13 pounds, and is currently in the final stages of pregnancy — so while she’s not quite ready for adoption yet, we’re opening her up for early pre-adoption! Kali is a wonderful girl. She has the cutest little Pug face (though her tail doesn’t curl), and she has the perfect mix of loyalty and independence. She sticks close to her foster mom, loves sleeping in the bed, but hasn’t taken to burrowing under the blankets like the Chihuahuas do — at least not yet! Once Kali completes her “motherhood assignment,” it will be her time to shine. She’s expected to be ready for her forever home by the end of October.
