My story

 HELLO, HUMAN FRIEND! I’M CHURRO! A dashing Doberman with soulful eyes, soft ears, and a heart that melts faster than ice cream in July! If you’re searching for a handsome, sweet-natured boy to share your days with, say hello to Churro—a 2-year-old, 60-pound hunk of love with a gentle soul and a silly streak. He’s house trained like a pro and absolutely lives for his morning sniffari (3–4 miles of nose-powered adventure!). After he’s earned his breakfast, this velvety gentleman is all about couch cuddles and quiet time.  Hobbies Include: Whether it squeaks, crinkles, or crunches, Churro is always eager to put every toy through its paces. Sinking his teeth into a good chew (he’s got excellent taste in textures!). Strutting politely on leash when he feels safe and secure. Making fast furry friends—he was super dog-social at the shelter!  Sensitive Soul Alert! Churro is incredibly sweet and gentle, but also a bit shy when it comes to meeting new people or navigating unfamiliar sounds and environments. He's made huge strides in his confidence with us, and now he’s ready for a forever family that sees his sensitivity as something special. He’d thrive with a patient, experienced adopter who’s committed to continuing his reactivity work, gently reinforcing basic commands, and creating a world where Churro feels safe to shine.  Not a Match For: Loud, bustling households—Churro prefers peaceful surroundings. Small children—their energy and unpredictability can be overwhelming for him. Unstructured environments—he’s still learning, and structure helps him blossom.  Perfect For You If...
