Lily was very skittish when she was rescued, but after a year at her foster home, she grew to trust people and allows the foster to pet her . She starts to talk more and responds when her name is called and always waits for the foster to come visit her and play with her. She loves to play feathers and hand interactive toys. Lily’s journey is one of quiet bravery. This beautiful girl was found on the streets of San Francisco Chinatown , trying to survive all on her own after her owner closed down the business and left her behind. She has been surviving on her own for months, hiding in the narrow space between two buildings, hidden away from the chaos of the city. Scared, hungry, and unsure who to trust. When one of our wonderful foster volunteers heard about Lily’s story, she had her trapped and dropped her off to SPCA for spay. The foster couldn’t drop her back to the location where she was found in Chinatown because she couldn’t imagine her eating garbage and hiding in fear. Since Lily was raised as a mouser for the business and had never been touched by her owner, she was super skittish at first and very skinny. The foster has 8 cats of her own and a husky. As much as she loves Lily, she can’t keep her because the other cats and dog make her even more nervous. The foster moved Lily to her mom’s apartment (who has dementia.) Lily would hide all the time under the bed or inside the cat tree. After a year, she’s slowly learned that the world can be kind. Though still shy, Lily is showing her sweet and playful side. She loves playing with feather or chasing the wand toy and will accept a soft pet or two when she feels comfortable. She would cry in the morning and evening waiting for the foster to go feed her and play with her. Unfortunately, the foster had a mini stroke a couple months ago and also found an aneurysm inside of her brain. Having to deal with her personal medical issues and her mom with dementia, we think it would be best to find Lily a quiet forever home with patient people who will let her blossom at her own pace. Could you be the very special one to give Lily the love and security she’s been waiting for all her sad life? Lily is best for a quiet home with no children and other pets. She needs someone who understands her background and will give her time to adopt to the new home and learn to love and trust. Lily is currently living in San Francisco, CA 94112 Please note: Lily needs a home with no young children.More information & application [ts=1757228577&src=aap]
