Just wanted to let you guys know what a perfect baby she was!!! Brandi did so well in the car, didn't seem to know exactly how to sit in the seat so I don't get the impression she's been in cars too often but she was very calm and kept politely nudging my arm for pets. Once we got to the event she was very chill, she did pull a little on the leash but nothing major. She was pretty disinterested in other dogs (she didn't bark once while I had her!) and was very calm around people as well. She took treats very gently and was very friendly with people who came over, even giving some face licks when she got the opportunity! Her most favorite activity was giving hugs and crawling into my lap (as well as anyone else's lap who was sitting down lol) and snuggling. She seems to be housebroken but didn't know any commands. Over all she was so so sweet and well behaved 11/10 dog!! Attaching some pictures I got as well. VIDEO: https://youtu.be/yXQZk5nqrng Per volunteer 8/13/25: I am obsessed with this girl. She is such a doll. And she gives amazing hugs Staff 8/12/25: Brandi was semi steerable and had minimal greetings. she was tolerant in the yard of other dogs but for the most part walked around pretty avoidant Staff 8/12: Evaled in playgroup: soft and loose, tail middle, loose and wiggly when being touched, solicited more attention. Handler oriented, checked in with me often after my initial prompt to come over. Volunteer 8/11: ennel Presentation: Brandi was standing at the edge of her kennel when I approached. Her tail was wagging at medium height and sped up when the leash was lifted outside of her kennel. She had a loose body in her kennel with low to mid ears that followed sounds. Leash Skills: Brandi was easy to leash. She remained with a loose body and neutral tail, her head lowered to put through the loop hole, and she stepped out of her kennel without hesitation. Brandi was eager to go outside and pulled mildly on the leash, checking in with her handler at times. Sociability: Brandi sniffed her surroundings and peed in the grass once outside. After she relieved herself she did a big shake and walked towards the handler. She had a mid to low level head and a medium/medium high tail while sniffing. After about 15 minutes with the handler, Brandi’s body language loosened up significantly. This looked like a wide “smile” with an open mouth and a slight pant at times. Her tail was continually wagging, increasing and decreasing in speed. She loves to stand in your lap with an opened mouth smile and low wagging tail! Her ears are to the side most times during pets, perking up with new sounds or people. When someone knocked on the door, she gave a few barks toward the door with forward ears and a still tail, after the person entered the room she sniffed them and same as the beginning of the eval she slowly started to become looser in her body language by leaning in for pets and rubbing her head on her handlers legs or chest. Play & Toys When toys were presented Brandi sniffed it briefly and walked away, when I toy was squeaked Brandi turned her head. When outside, Brandi enjoyed going through the long tunnel in the large dog run, as well as running after a ball that was thrown. Brandi briefly enjoyed a Kong, but quickly chose to return to a human (any human in the room, preferably one with a lap she could stand in) for pets Dog interaction (must be on video if meeting face-to-face): No other handler available at this time Returning to kennel: Brandi walked with mild pulling back through the kennels, she stood outside of the kennel and looked side to side, when gestured to walk into her crate, she did.
