ALL ABOUT ME Name: Mandu Age: 6 Years Old Gender: Female Spayed/Neutered: Yes Breed: Maltese Colour: White Weight: 4.5kg Microchipped: Yes MY RESCUE STORY Hi there! My name is Mandu. I was rescued from a heartbreaking situation at an illegal puppy farm last fall. Life wasn’t kind to me back then—I was in rough shape, both physically and emotionally. But thanks to kind-hearted rescuers, I’ve been given a second chance. I’ve come such a long way on my healing journey, and now, I’m ready to find a loving forever family who will cherish me and show me what it truly means to be part of a home. MY HEALTH Fully vaccinated (5-round series complete) I’ve been neutered and have no known health issues. MY PERSONALITY My name is Mandu, which means “dumplings” in Korean—and it suits me perfectly! I’m a little dumpling of cuteness with my fluffy, soft white fur and a big personality wrapped inside. My deep black eyes and button nose pop against my snow-white coat, making me even more irresistibly adorable. Volunteers and staff often smile and say I have the most expressive little face, as if I’m trying to have a conversation with them! Even though I came from a very difficult past, I don’t let it define who I am today. I’m a sweet, resilient girl who’s learning to embrace the big, exciting world one step at a time. I’m friendly with people and enjoy making new dog friends too. Each day, I grow a little braver and more eager to share my affectionate side with those who show me kindness. MY SOCIAL SKILLS With People: I’m a friendly little girl who loves meeting new people! I enjoy greeting strangers with a wagging tail and a curious heart, and I happily soak up all the affection and gentle pets you’re willing to give. You can easily pick me up and cuddle me—after all, who could resist holding a fluffy dumpling like me? I haven’t had much experience with kids yet, but with calm, respectful introductions, I’m sure I’ll win their hearts in no time. I’m also very polite when it comes to food—I don’t guard my meals against people and am happy to share the space. With Dogs: When it comes to other dogs, I’m a bit more of a polite observer. I enjoy greeting new doggy friends and saying hello, but after a quick introduction, I usually prefer to do my own thing. I’m definitely more of a people’s pup at heart! I’m content simply hanging out near my dog friends without needing to be in the middle of the action. I’m also very well-mannered when it comes to mealtime—I don’t guard my food against other dogs and am happy to share a peaceful dining space. With Cats: I haven’t met any cats yet, but with a slow and thoughtful introduction, I think I could learn to live peacefully with a feline friend. ENERGY AND ACTIVITIES I proudly declare myself a certified couch potato! Nothing makes me happier than finding a cozy spot to snuggle up and just be with you. I don’t need hours of outdoor adventures—just a few short, breezy walks to stretch my legs and sniff the air, and I’m perfectly content to spend the rest of the day lounging indoors by your side. I’m all about that calm, easygoing lifestyle, where cuddles and quiet companionship are the highlights of my day. TRAINING & HABITS I’m still figuring out this big, exciting world, and every walk is a new adventure for me! I’m getting better on leash, but I’ll need a little more guidance and consistency as I settle into my new home and daily routines. I love to stop for sniff breaks—there’s just so much to explore and understand! Sometimes, I get a bit determined and pull towards where I want to go, but don’t worry—I’m tiny and super easy to manage. Plus, I’m very food motivated, so a few tasty treats will definitely get my attention and help me learn. Right now, I don’t have much separation anxiety, but once I bond with my forever family, I might become a little more attached and need some reassurance when left alone. I like to bark when I want your attention—after all, I just want to be near you! I’m good at resting quietly in my kennel, and I know how to potty both indoors and outdoors. And while I’m a dainty girl, I do love to mark when I’m outside to let everyone know where I’ve been. In new environments, I might do a little extra marking as I settle in. MY IDEAL HOME I’m looking for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that offers a safe, structured, and calm environment. A family that enjoys spending quality time together indoors & outdoors. A family that can shower me with love and attention. A family that understands I’m still learning about the world and is willing to guide me with patience as I work on basic obedience and house training, helping me become more confident and settle nicely into my new home. SPECIAL NOTES I know I’ve been through a rough start, but I don’t let my past define me. I’m a sweet and loving girl who’s eager to experience all the good things life has to offer with my forever family. With my adorable dumpling looks and a heart full of love, I’m ready to be your loyal companion. I’ll need a family who understands that I’m still figuring out the world and is patient and kind as I continue to learn and grow. In return, I promise to shower you with affection, make you smile with my quirky personality, and be the cutest little shadow by your side. If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a lot of love to give, I’m your Mandu. ##2487541##
