My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:9Calliope is a 4-year-old German Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and a nose for adventure! This lovely lady recently went on a field trip. Calliope rides well in the car, enjoys outdoor adventures, and would love a home where she can continue learning and bonding with her people. She’s affectionate, treat-motivated, and loves offering sweet hugs and kisses. She enjoys exploring the world, sniffing every scent, soaking in the sights, and greeting passersby with a friendly tail wag. Calliope knows “sit” and “paw,” and while she’s still learning leash manners, she’s already showing she’s a quick study. Dog-wise, Calliope is polite and independent. She's comfortable around other calm dogs but is just as happy doing her own thing. She could thrive as a solo dog or with a well-matched canine companion.
