My story

Meet Lilo! Lilo is a 3-year-old, 14-pound Cavapoo. She’s a sweet, affectionate little girl who’s discovering the joys of life outside of a puppy mill—and she’s loving every minute of it. Lilo absolutely adores being close to her people. She’s a snuggler at heart who gives kisses when you walk in the door and happily spoons at night or during naptime. Her waggy tail is a clear sign of how grateful and happy she is to finally be safe and loved. Lilo is still learning how to walk on a leash, so she’ll need a home with a securely fenced yard. She’s making progress with house training, but it's coming along more slowly than some other rescues. With patience, consistency, and lots of praise, we’re confident she’ll continue to improve—especially since she’s so eager to please and food-motivated. She can be shy around strangers and startled by loud noises. Some of Lilo’s favorite things include chicken, cheese, scrambled eggs, and—most of all—cuddles. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal companion who will shower you with affection and be your constant snuggle buddy, Lilo may be the perfect match for you. Lilo is currently being fostered in the Cincinnati, OH area. Her adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week.
