Meet Bunny: A Brave Little Survivor Ready for Love. Bunny is a one-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua mix with a story that will tug at your heart. She was discovered tethered in the backyard of an abandoned home, left behind when her family moved out. For three long weeks, Bunny survived alone, emaciated and terrified. A medical exam revealed over a dozen fractured ribs. Abuse is suspected. Despite her traumatic past, Bunny has shown remarkable resilience. She has some neurological effects from her injuries, which add a unique little hop to her walk, hence the name Bunny. She also exhibits resource guarding with food and objects, a behavior that reflects her time in survival mode. In foster care, Bunny began to relax and show her true personality. She’s happy, sweet, and affectionate, with a deep need for love and safety. Bunny is looking for a patient, compassionate adopter who will offer her the stable, secure home she’s always deserved. Bunny’s $250 adoption fee includes spaying, vaccines, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet Bunny, call 602-971-1334 to schedule a visit. Walk-ins are also welcome Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Come meet this brave little Bunny. You might just be the hero she’s been waiting for!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bunny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
