My story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.SCHOONER was found on a local property living with his siblings (Jetski, Yacht, Pontoon & Wakeboard) and he’s now looking for his forever home. He’s had his first set of vaccines, a microchip and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. He’s a quiet, friendly boy who’s easy to pick up as well as comfortable being held. He’s on the quiet side and likes to sit on the sidelines as he watches everyone else get into mischief. He does like to sit in his fosters lap and have a snuggle but at this stage he doesn’t usually stay there for too long.  SCHOONER has used the litter box since day one in foster care as he’s a such a smart boy. He loves to eat and drink his nice cold water, eats kibble and wet food plus he loves temptations treats. Chasing crinkly toys around is one of his favourite pass times and he’s just discovering what fun all the kitty toys are that he has. He’s in a foster home with 2 small dogs and another cat so he would suit a home with a dog as long as the dog is cat savvy and a slow, monitored introduction is made between them. Another cat in the home would be good for him but he can be an only cat as long as he’s not left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6 plus and be gentle, loving and  caring towards animals.  SCHOONER’s neuter will be performed at 4 months of age and is booked for September 16th and his adopter must be committed to bring him to Barrie on his surgery date. If preferred it can be done at his adopters own vet clinic and the rescue will reimburse what we would’ve paid for it at the Barrie SPCA. However, it would still have to be performed in the same timeframe to receive the reimbursement. We need a copy of the invoice and also a current picture of him (preferably in his cone) as we put the picture on our fb page along with the other animals fixed in that week.  If you would like to meet SCHOONER then please put in an adoption application for him. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 11, 2025, 1:43 pm

If you have any questions or would like to adopt SCHOONER, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
