Foster dad reports: This young girl was not happy to be at my home. At first, she would cower and hiss at me. I was barely able to touch her. However, as time went on, she allowed more contact and even rolled on her back while I was stroking her. Then one morning I sat on the floor, she walked up beside me, and then lay down as if asking for attention. I started petting her, scratching her chin and rubbing her back. She enjoyed the attention very much. From that morning on, more progress has been made. At feeding time, she sits and faces me as I bring in her food. She no longer hisses at me but she is still learning how nice we humans can be and will benefit from more 1 on 1 time. She will need a quiet household with no young children. Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays from noon to 4pm.
