My story

  Animal Profile:   Finch is approximately 4months old, and a Doberman/Great Pyr mix. He was found with his mom, Dove, by a field officer in California and was brought into the shelter. Finch is sweet and loves to be carried by shelter staff. He is still learning what a leash is and needs basic puppy training. We will share more about Finch once he has settled in with his foster family.   Foster Update:  Friendly, spirited, and silly, baby Finch has a lifetime of love and fun to offer the right home. This leggy puppy will steal your heart and your socks. He will lean his long, gentle head against your leg while you brush your teeth and gaze lovingly into your eyes, then sprint away with your bathmat, hoping you'll chase him. Sweet and happy, Finch loves dogs, cats, and people. His favorite activities include playing with toys and sticks, romping in the yard with dog and human friends, exploring, and cuddling. Food-oriented and curious, Finch enjoys training games. He's already crate-trained, doing well with potty training, knows "sit," and comes when called. A tall, gangly boy with soft fur, we expect Finch to grow into a tall adult with a unique appearance. Finch would love a home with a fenced yard, another dog to play with, and people who can to fulfill his needs for love and affection. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, recent exam with a veterinarian, and microchip with lifetime registration.
