My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:5Beethoven – The Playful Gentleman with a Love for Fetch Beethoven is a 4-year-old, 63-pound Siberian Husky with a joyful spirit and a soft, social side. A playful athlete and easygoing companion, he’s ready to bring both fun and friendship into your life. Fetch pro: Beethoven will sometimes “auto sit” the moment he spots a tennis ball, clearly anticipating the game. He’s not only a skilled fetch player but can also catch a ball mid-air like a champ. Butt-scritch enthusiast: One of his favorite greetings is to present his back end for some good scritches, leaning in appreciatively for more. Independent but connected: When left to his own devices, Beethoven is happy to resume his sniffari adventures, but he’ll trot over periodically to check in with you. Good leash manners: He may pull a bit at the start of a walk out of excitement, but once he settles, he walks nicely and even offers spontaneous visual check-ins—especially when treats are involved. Dog-friendly: Enjoys playtime with well-matched canine friends in doggie playgroup. Beethoven would thrive with an active home that appreciates both his playful nature and his moments of calm companionship.
