How this pet arrived:Rabbit was brought in by a community member. Why Rabbit might be the one for you: Wait a minute, stop the presses because this Rabbit is no Rabbit. This Rabbit is a big handsome dog with the classic brown and tan coat and stature of a protector dog. Rabbit thinks that his name is silly but he does not mind. What he does mind, is being in our shelter instead of someone's home and with people whom he can trust and protect. He will want owners who understand his type of dog - his type being intelligent and eager to please. He needs good and consistent training to become the kind of dog that he is meant to be. . With dog savvy people who know how to use positive reinforcement techniques, a consistent routine and interesting activities to keep Rabbit occupied it will not be long before Rabbit is your good dog. Rabbit will do best in a lower traffic/activity home that has few surprises or new situations. Rabbit is best with routine. Rabbit is a work in progress but the end result will be a friendly, trained dog who will be by your side through thick and thin. Want to take on a Rabbit who is a work in progress and NOT a rabbit? At SDHS:Rabbit has been vaccinated, microchipped, spayed neutered and is now ready for his new home! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 53 Age: 1yrs 0mths 3wks
