Linette

My story

Hound lovers know how amazing hounds are and Linette is a prime example. She loves everyone and everything. She is cat friendly (just kind of ignores them) dog friendly (matches other dogs’ energy), and loves kids and adults. She was found as a stray so she is adjusting to indoor living. She still looks up at the ceiling at times almost unsure why it is there. She is not destructive, hasn’t had any accidents, and isn’t especially nervous indoors, just confused by hanging lights and ceiling fans. She loves walks and car rides. She has been walked in a suburban neighborhood, small town center, and in Philly. She ignores other dogs and people, doesn’t chase deer, and squirrels and rabbits will pique her interest but she doesn’t chase. A fox was the only critter that she really wanted to pursue. The only specific needs: She does best in an Alcatraz crate (she chews on the wire crates) An extremely secure fenced yard (she can climb and shimmy under chain link and post/rail types) or a person who likes to walk their dog. The other option would be a tether in the yard. She isn’t a dog that needs to run around to burn energy and hasn’t shown interest in playing with toys in the yard so a yard isn’t a necessity. She is medium to low energy and is surprisingly quiet for a hound. She is more like a cat in a dog costume. Can be aloof one minute and affectionate the next.
