Name:   Jennifer         Best Guess for Breed:   Dachshund and Chihuahua mix   Best Guess for Age:   1.5 years as of August 2025      SEX:    Female   Approximate Weight:   22.8 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen them with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   Puerto Rican shelter - Jennifer needs a foster or adopter to make her way to the DC area   Special adoption considerations:   Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Jennifer would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Meet Jennifer! This 1.5-year-old Chihuahua/Dachshund mix is 22 lbs of sweet, island charm. She arrived into our care with her babies Jade, Jasper, Jax, Jett, and Juno, and she did an amazing job raising them to be great family pets! Now the entire family is DC-bound and can't wait to get each of their own forever homes! Jennifer’s size makes her perfect for everything from city strolls to couch cuddles. Whether she’s trotting happily on walks or curling up for a nap, Jennifer is ready to be your loyal little shadow. Could you be the one to greet her when she lands? Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.  TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter.
