My story

This beautiful Bloodhound is Sophia! She ended up at the shelter as a lost girl with ID on 8/6, and sadly, no one has come to reclaim her. Sophia is now keeping her paws crossed for a new, forever home where she will be loved and kept safe so that she never ends up back in the shelter. The volunteers describe Sophia as super friendly and easy going. She knows how to sit nicely when asked. If Sophia sounds like the new BFF you've been looking for, please come meet her! Sophia is approximately 4 years old and she weighs 68 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines, has been microchipped, and did test negative for heartworms. She will be spayed upon adoption. Sophia is waiting patiently in run 52; her ID # is 12549. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heartworm or combo test and a microchip.
