A5710111 Maya | German Shepherd UHA5710111 #A5710111 Meet Maya , a 5-year-old German Shepherd with the breed’s classic good looks and a plush black and tan coat that’s just as soft and beautiful as her heart. This gentle, soulful girl is struggling in the shelter and is looking for a calm, patient home where she can decompress and feel safe. Once she learns to trust again, you'll get to watch her true personality blossom - and it’s worth the wait! Maya is incredibly smart, already potty trained, walks beautifully on leash, and knows her basic commands like sit. She’d thrive with a confidence boost - whether through group obedience classes, tagging along on outings and adventures, or learning from another friendly pup that you may already have at home. Despite a rough past, Maya remains deeply loving and eager to bond close - now she just needs someone to believe in her. Will you take home this darling girl today? -5 year old black and tan German Shepherd -57 pound spayed female -up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 6/30/25 as an owner surrender - was underfed and malnourished at intake, so has clearly not had the kindest life -gorgeous shep girl, with the breed's classic good looks and super plush black and tan coat - beautiful coloring! -mild, sweet and deeply sensitive at heart, so struggling with the chaos of the shelter - needs a calm and patient adopter that will give her the time and space she needs to decompress and learn to trust again, but then you'll be rewarded with watching her true self fully bloom -would also benefit from some confidence building - whether that's from group obedience classes to learning the ropes from any pups you may already have at home, to just tagging along on any outings or adventures you may have! -despite her hard life, Maya is still a gentle and loving spirit, eager to bond close and please her people -super intelligent - great on leash, potty trained, and already knows basic commands like sit ------- United Hope for Animals (UHA) is a volunteer group and does not have a facility for animals.
